Two Mares was incorporated in December 2018 in response to the supply of Thrive Feed being cut off when the previous distributor retired

The demand was still high from loyal customers who had turned to this incredible feed for their beloved equines. When the opportunity to distribute Thrive Feed in the UK was presented to us, we simply could not say no.

My name is Hiedi Marcus and this is my dancing queen, Hawtins Fiorella.

This is our Feed to Thrive story.

I was beyond excited to bring my newly purchased 4 year old Hawtins Fiorella home. She identified with the name Chooey as christened by her groom at Hawtins Stud due to his admiration for Jimmy Choo shoes(!) so we rightly inherited her stable name. A few months on, picky eating, bucking into canter and a colic episode, it became apparent that Chooey was extremely poorly with stomach ulcers. I tried everything the vets prescribed, and lots more holistic remedies besides. Chooey was gastro scoped on three separate occasions during this time and getting progressively worse despite treatment. Eventually, she stopped eating and I was terrified of losing her.

In a last-ditch attempt to turn things around, Debby Lush and friends recommended Thrive Feed. Sam Smith dropped off a bag and explained that Choo might take a few weeks to accept the feed due to it being unflavoured, different in texture to anything else available and of course, her underlying condition. It was an agonising time whilst I hand fed her every day and patiently waited for signs that she was becoming more comfortable in her own skin.

Slowly she accepted Thrive Feed, her appetite kicked in and we made the journey back to an optimum weight for her. With the help of my coach, I was then able to recommence her training and so we began to connect under saddle.

2018 was a turning point in our riding partnership and I feel so indebted to Thrive and all the people that helped us along the way. When Sam retired, I was not going to let Thrive Feed disappear from the UK without a fight...

My name is Beth Cooper and I turned to Hiedi for a recommendation when my mare, Nikita, was scoped for ulcers, shortly after we bought her in January 2018. 

I knew Hiedi had been through the mill and back with Chooey and I also knew she had tried most things out there without success. When she introduced us to Thrive Feed, we never looked back. Very soon all our horses and ponies were enjoying it and thriving!

So here we are, running Two Mares Ltd, a company set up especially to distribute Dale Moulton’s Equine Nutrition specifically for the UK and EU market, and safeguarding Dale Moulton's Equine Nutrition - Feed to Thrive for our two mares and all those that choose it.
